If you take something regularly, book a consultation before you run out rather than the week after. The doctor reviews what you are on, asks how it has been, and writes what they judge to be right.
We do not renew a prescription over the telephone and we do not renew one for somebody the clinic has not seen. That is not paperwork for its own sake: a medicine that has been repeated for two years without anybody looking at the person taking it is the whole reason reviews exist.
Bring the boxes. Names and doses off a phone photograph are better than memory and worse than the box.
