About a third of what leaves this shop leaves it in a box for an island.
You tell us the boat and the sailing day. We pack, write the garage name, the island and your telephone number on four sides of the box, photograph it and send you the photograph, then hand it over and send you the name of whoever signed for it.
The boat's freight is paid to the boat. We do not add it to your bill, we do not take a cut of it, and we will not quote you a figure for something we do not control.
What we cannot do is track the box after it leaves the harbour. There is no tracking number and there is no system that tells us where it is. What we have is the photograph, the name of the person who took it, and a telephone number, and in nine years that has been enough every time but twice.
