The part that fits, not the part that looks the same
Brakes, filters, belts, batteries and oil for the common automatic scooters, small cars and twin cab pickups. Every item on this site says what we have fitted it to, so you can narrow the shelf before you come in.
Four things worth knowing before you order
Fitment is a filter, not a promise
The boxes on a shelf page are built from what we have written on each part. They narrow a hundred items down to four. They do not prove a part fits your machine, and the counter will still ask you for the number off the old one.
The stock number is a shelf count
It is what we counted, not a live feed from anybody's warehouse. If the last one went out five minutes before you ordered we will telephone you, and nothing is charged until you agree what happens next.
Orders are paid by bank transfer
Placing an order here reserves the parts and gives you a reference. You transfer the amount and quote that reference, and we release the order once the transfer shows. There is no card payment on this site.
Island garages by the cargo boat
We box, label and hand over to the boat you name, on the day you tell us it sails. The boat's freight is settled with the boat, not with us, and we never quote you a figure we do not control.
What we do besides selling you a box
Most of the value in a parts shop is in the five minutes before the sale, when somebody works out what you actually need.
Finding the part from the old one
Bring the part or photograph the number on it. That is the fastest and cheapest thing you can do.
Brakes, for cycles and small cars
Pads, shoes, discs, fluid and cables for the common automatics, small hatchbacks and pickups.
Filters, oil and service kits
Oil, air and cabin filters, engine and gear oil, and the whole service as one box.
Batteries, bulbs and electrics
Batteries, plugs, bulbs, relays and switches, tested at the counter before they leave.
Drive belts, rollers and clutches
The wearing parts inside an automatic transmission, with honest intervals rather than frightening ones.
Delivery to island garages
Boxed, labelled and handed to the cargo boat you name, with a photograph of the box before it goes.
The shop in numbers
Work that was more than a counter sale
Stocking a garage from nothing, a resort buggy fleet on one service list, and a season of ferry engine spares.
Stocking a new garage on an island from nothing
An opening stock list built from what the island actually rides, rather than from a catalogue.
One service list for a resort buggy fleet
Twenty two buggies reduced to one kit, one interval and one quarterly box.
A season of ferry engine spares held on the shelf
Filters, impellers and belts held in our store against an agreed list, so a breakdown is a collection rather than an order.
What mechanics say
I send a photograph of the old part and get a price back before I have finished parking. Nobody else on this street answers that fast.
They told me my battery was fine and the charging side was the fault. That conversation cost them a sale and it is why the workshop still buys here.
They talked me out of buying one of everything and made me count the cycles outside the mosque instead. The shelf has been right ever since.
What people ask at the counter
How do I pay for an order placed on this site?
By bank transfer. Placing the order reserves the parts and gives you a reference. The confirmation screen and the email both show the account and the amount, and you quote the reference when you transfer.
We release the order once the transfer shows in the account. There is no card payment on this website and no payment plan, and nothing here charges you automatically.
Is the stock number on the page live?
It is what the shelf held when it was last counted, and it drops as orders are placed. It is not a feed from a supplier and it is not a promise.
If you order the last one and it has just gone out of the door, somebody telephones you the same day. You can wait for the next box, change to the other grade, or cancel, and nothing is taken from you until you say which.
Can I hold a part and collect it later?
Yes. Order it here and say collection in the notes, and it sits with your reference on it for seven days.
After seven days it goes back on the shelf, because a part held indefinitely for somebody who changed their mind is a part the next person could not buy. Telephone us and we will hold it longer if you tell us why.
Do I need an account on this site?
No, and there is not one to make. You order, you get a reference, and that reference is how you and we find the order again.
There is no saved basket, no order history and no login for customers. Garages buying regularly have a monthly account at the shop, which is a paper arrangement rather than anything on this website.
Send us the number off the old part
A photograph of the part with its number showing settles most questions in one message, and it costs nothing to ask.
Tell us what you are working on
Say the machine, the year and what it is doing wrong. We would rather ask two questions now than send you the wrong box.
