The service most of our work is. A shop hands us its day's orders and we deliver them, collect the money where the order is unpaid, and settle it.
Over two hundred parcels a month the rate is 28 rufiyaa a drop in Malé and 48 across the bridge. Collection happens at a fixed time you choose, every working day, from your shop or your house, and the rider is the same person most days.
Cash on delivery is handled at two per cent of the collected amount with a minimum of 10 rufiyaa, and the money reaches your account the next working day with a statement listing every parcel, what was collected and who accepted it. We do not hold money longer than a day and we do not net it against your delivery bill, because both of those make a statement impossible to check.
What we ask for is the customer's telephone number on every single parcel, and a note on anything fragile. A shop that sends us forty parcels with thirty eight numbers will get thirty eight delivered today and two tomorrow.
We cap the cash we will collect on one parcel at 5,000 rufiyaa. Above that the receiver transfers to you directly and we deliver against your confirmation.
