What it costs

Nothing is paid on this website. You pay at the counter when the phone comes back to you, in cash or by transfer to the account printed on your slip.

For anything we do here, the figure on the booking form is what it costs when the phone is what we expect. It is an estimate until the back is off, and if the phone turns out to need more, you hear the number from us before anything is fitted.

For anything that goes to Malé in the box, there is no figure at all until the workshop has opened it. What we take at the counter is the send fee, which pays for the packing, the boat both ways and the workshop's assessment. Once they have looked, we ring you with their figure and you decide. Say no and the phone comes home on the next boat with the board untouched, and you have paid the send fee and nothing else.

We do not add anything on top of what the workshop charges for the repair. Ask to see their slip and we will show you.

An hour at your house, on this island only, for people who find the walk to the shop hard or who would simply rather do this sitting at their own table.

It is the same work: setting up a phone, moving photographs across, showing somebody how the bank application actually works, turning off whatever has been shouting at them since the last update, and putting a bigger typeface on everything.

It is usually booked by a son or a daughter for a parent, sometimes from another island, and that is perfectly fine. Put your own number on the booking and we will ring you afterwards and tell you what we did.

We do not sell anything on a house call. If the phone needs a part, we say so and you come to the counter or send it in, and nobody is talked into a new phone at their own kitchen table.
