Thirty one rooms refitted over two months: wardrobes, headboards, desks and bathroom vanities, all made by one joinery shop with no room to store material.
The specification as it arrived had commercial plywood throughout, including the vanities, which would have delaminated inside two years in a bathroom that is wet four times a day. We priced it both ways and showed the difference, which was about eleven thousand rufiyaa on the whole job for marine ply in the thirty one vanities only. The hotel took it.
Material went out in eight weekly loads keyed to the floor being worked on, because the joinery shop had space for about twenty sheets and not a hundred and forty. Each load was cut to that week's list and bundled by room.
A hundred and forty sheets, four hundred and ten running feet of laminate and the hardware, over eight weeks. The hotel rang us two years later about a damaged wardrobe door and we still had the melamine code on file, which is why that record exists.
