About a third of what we bring in is going somewhere other than Male, and we load to the cargo boats and the ferries ourselves.
Tell us the island when you place the order. We will tell you the sailing day and the cut off, and we hold the parcel here until that day rather than letting it travel on whatever leaves first.
Boat freight is charged by the boat and we pass it on at cost. For a small parcel it is usually between fifty and a hundred and fifty rufiyaa depending on the route.
We send the loading note and a photograph of your marked parcel before the boat leaves. If you would rather send somebody to collect from our shop instead, that is fine and it is free.
One warning about the ferry for anything fragile or valuable. Ferries are quick and they are not gentle, and nobody signs for anything. For a phone or a laptop use the cargo boat and a named receiver.
