The haruge, the stage and the backdrop, drapes, seating, lighting, table settings and flowers.
We work with four decorators and choose between them by what your evening needs rather than by habit. What we control is the build: how many hours it takes, when the lane is needed and when the courtyard has to be clear for photographs. A decorator working to four hours will produce a different evening from the same decorator working to seven, and the difference is planning rather than money.
Flowers are the item we are strictest about. Imported stems ordered to land the day before an event are tired under lights by nine o'clock, so ours arrive on the morning and are conditioned in the shade while the build goes on. It costs a little more in freight and it is the difference between photographs you keep and photographs you do not.
Everything is struck the same night unless the venue agrees otherwise in writing. A courtyard full of somebody else's chairs at eight the next morning is how a family falls out with a neighbour.
