Haruge Weddings Venue, decoration and catering, planned as one evening instead of five phone calls

A nikah day rearranged in six hours

A confirmed nikah time that moved by ninety minutes, and a day that still ended on schedule.

A nikah day rearranged in six hours

A family lunch for a hundred and ten guests built around a nikah at two o'clock, which was confirmed at half past twelve instead with six hours' notice on the morning.

This is the reason we write schedules rather than keep them in our heads. Twelve items had a time against them and eight of those times had to move. Because every supplier had the same printed sheet, the change was eleven telephone calls rather than a conversation with each of them about what they had understood.

The caterer's service moved forward by an hour, which they could do because they had been asked for their own build time in writing and it had ninety minutes of margin in it. The photographer was told immediately, because forty minutes of photographs after a nikah is a fact and not a hope, and those forty minutes were the thing most likely to be lost.

Guests sat down eight minutes later than the original plan. Nobody in the room knew anything had changed, which is the only outcome worth having.
