A unit that will not start, will not cool, trips the breaker, leaks water or makes a noise it did not make last month.
Diagnosis is 250 rufiyaa and it comes off the repair if you go ahead. You get a price before any work starts, and if the honest answer is that the unit is not worth repairing we will say so and tell you what a replacement costs.
The four faults we see most. A failed capacitor, which is the commonest reason a unit hums and does not start, and is 450 rufiyaa fitted. A blocked drain line, which is why water appears on a wall and is usually cleared in twenty minutes. A corroded outdoor fan motor, which is 1,400 fitted and is a salt air failure. And a leaking coil, which is the expensive one.
What we will not do is add gas to a system and call it repaired. If a unit is low it is leaking, and we will find the leak with nitrogen and a gauge rather than sell you the same gas twice.
Common parts are on the van. Anything else is usually two to four days, and we will tell you which.
