Multiple units for offices, shops, clinics and restaurants, supplied and installed as one job.
We start with a calculation rather than a unit count: floor area, ceiling height, glazing and which way it faces, how many people are in the room, and what equipment is generating heat. A room with eleven computers and two printers in it is a different problem from an empty room of the same size, and a shop with a door open to the street is a different problem again and often cannot be solved by adding capacity at all.
The things we push back on. Cassettes look tidy and cost more to service, so on a false ceiling with no access hatch we will ask for hatches before we fit them. A single large unit for an open plan floor is cheaper to install and terrible to live with, because half the floor is cold. And pipe runs over about fifteen metres need larger pipe and more gas, which is a cost that belongs in the quotation rather than in a later argument.
We hand over a drawing of what was installed, where the pipes run and where the isolators are. Three fit outs we inherited from other companies had none of that, and finding a buried pipe with a drill is how a ceiling gets opened twice.
