Gifts that are still there next year
Dried and preserved flowers, arranged by hand, and gift boxes built one at a time. Choose the date it should arrive and write the card in your own words.
Four things we decided at the start
Dried rather than fresh
Cut flowers last about four days in a Maldivian room. A dried arrangement kept out of direct sun holds its shape for a year or more, and that is the whole idea here.
A date you choose
You pick the day at checkout and we deliver between eleven and seven on it. No hour is promised, because promising one and missing it is worse than not promising.
It can go to an island
Because nothing here wilts, a boxed gift can travel on a boat. We hand it over and tell you which boat, and we are honest that the arrival day is then the boat's to decide.
Transfer, with a reference
Place the order, receive a reference, transfer the total and quote it. No cards on this site, nothing saved, and nothing collected at the door.
Arranged by hand, one at a time
Six things this studio is asked for most, plus the corporate boxes and the wedding bouquets we preserve.
Dried flower arrangements
Hand tied bunches and vase arrangements that keep their shape for a year.
Gift boxes, built one at a time
A box with a small arrangement and two or three things chosen for the person.
Preserving a wedding bouquet
Your own flowers dried and framed or set in a dome, from 2,400 rufiyaa.
Corporate and welcome boxes
Staff gifts and client boxes, made in quantity, invoiced with GST.
Sending a gift to an island
Packed for a boat, handed to the boat, and honest about what happens next.
Pressed flower frames
Flowers pressed flat and framed behind glass, for a wall rather than a table.
Where we are up to
Some of what has left this room
A bride's own bouquet preserved in a frame, sixty welcome boxes for a new office, and a sympathy box sent to an island.
A bride's own bouquet, pressed and framed
Flowers carried at a wedding on a Friday, in our press by the Sunday, framed four weeks later.
Sixty welcome boxes for a new office
Sixty boxes with a name on each, made over nine days by two people, delivered on the morning the office opened.
A sympathy box sent to an island
A quiet box packed for a cargo boat, because nothing in it could wilt on the way.
What people say a year later
They told me before they started that the blue flowers in my bouquet would not survive pressing. Every other answer I had been given was yes to everything. The frame is on my wall and it is exactly what they showed me.
Sixty boxes, nine days, and they sent a photograph of the first one before making the rest. Nobody had ever offered me that and I will never order in bulk any other way again.
Three shops told me they could not send anything to my island. This one packed it for the boat, told me which boat it was on and did not pretend to know when it would land.
The questions that come up most
How much notice do you need?
One day for anything on the site in its standard form. Three days for a large box or several boxes, two weeks for more than twenty, and three weeks for preserving a wedding bouquet.
We do not take same day orders. Everything here is made when it is ordered rather than taken off a shelf.
Can I choose the date it arrives?
Yes, and that is how every order works here. You pick the day at checkout and we deliver between eleven in the morning and seven in the evening.
We do not promise an hour. If the gift has to arrive before a particular moment, tell us in the notes and we will aim for the morning.
Do I need to make an account?
No. There is no sign in on this site and nothing is stored between orders. You fill a basket, place the order and receive a reference.
Keep the reference. It is how the order is found again and it is what you put in the remarks when you transfer.
Choose the date and leave the rest to us
Most things go out the next day. Anything with more than a dozen pieces in it needs three days, and a wedding bouquet needs three weeks.
Tell us who it is for
The occasion, the date and roughly what you want to spend. That is enough for us to come back with two ideas.
