A customer in Malé needed to send something to a family on an island in the south, two days after a death, and every florist she had asked had said no because flowers cannot make that journey.
Ours could. A low dried arrangement in white and green, a candle and a plain card in her own words, packed so that nothing moved in the box. We took it to the harbour ourselves, put it on a boat leaving that evening and told her which boat and when it sailed.
What we did not do was promise an arrival day. A cargo boat is not a courier and we will not turn a guess into a promise, least of all on an order like this one. It arrived two days later and the family rang her from the island.
This is now a regular part of the studio's work and it is the clearest advantage of not selling anything that wilts.
