Forty boxes for clients, ordered in the second week of Ramadan for delivery in the last three days before Eid.
They asked early, which every year is the difference between yes and no. In the final week of Ramadan this studio is already making the orders it accepted a fortnight before, and there is no honest way to add forty boxes to that.
Each box held a dried arrangement in the company's own colours, dates and a card with the client's name. Delivered to twenty two addresses across Malé and Hulhumalé over two mornings, with a list we worked through and ticked.
We now write to everybody who ordered Eid boxes the previous year in the first week of Ramadan, because the people who leave it late are usually the same people.
