Excavator, 5 tonne, by the day
The machine that fits down an island lane. Two of them.
3,200.00 Per day
Excavators from five to thirteen tonnes, tippers, mixers, a boom lift and one crane. The day rate here is the machine. The barge, the operator and the fuel are quoted in two working days.
A request through this page holds the machine for seven days while we price the barge and the operator. Nothing is paid here and nothing is committed.
The machine that fits down an island lane. Two of them.
3,200.00 Per day
For harbour work, reclamation edges and anything with rock in it.
5,800.00 Per day
Three of them, and the thing every island job runs short of.
2,400.00 Per day
Ninety minutes on your plot, free in Kaafu, and one job in five changes machine after it.
Machine, operator, barge, fuel and GST. Nothing is added afterwards but agreed overtime.
Loaded and chained by us, with somebody travelling beside it to your ramp.
A day lost through no fault of the site is not charged, and a replacement goes on the next barge.
The barge, the ramp and the bit everybody forgets.
Our operators, licensed, and the cost of keeping them on your island.
Ninety minutes, no charge in Kaafu, and about one job in five changes machine.
Machine, operator, barge, fuel and GST. Nothing added afterwards.
If the machine stops through no fault of yours, the day is not charged.
A month, a season, or the length of a build, invoiced monthly.
Because the other half of the cost depends on your island rather than on the machine, and a single figure would be wrong everywhere except one place.
The barge to Thulusdhoo and the barge to Fuvahmulah are not comparable numbers. Nor is an operator's accommodation for three days against three weeks. Those are quoted, as separate lines, inside two working days of your request.
Five lines. The machine for the days you asked for, the operator including accommodation and food, the barge both ways, the fuel, and the GST.
Nothing is added afterwards except overtime that your supervisor agreed on the day. If you are comparing a single figure from somebody else, ask which of those five it includes.
Forty percent by bank transfer on accepting the quotation, and the balance invoiced on the day the machine comes back.
Contractors with an account with us pay on thirty days and send nothing up front. Setting that up takes one email and a company registration number.
They told us the five tonne machine would not get down the lane at the north end and sent a photograph of the corner. Nobody else we asked had been to the island at all.
A quotation with five lines on it, and the final invoice matched it to the rufiyaa apart from six hours of agreed overtime. That is rarer here than it should be.
Eleven weeks of harbour work with a machine serviced on the island by their own mechanic. It stopped twice and neither day appeared on the bill.
A written quotation with every cost on its own line comes back inside two working days.
