We handle outbound consignments as well, which in practice means fish products, handicraft, personal effects and equipment going back to a supplier under warranty.
Export is mostly documents. The declaration, the certificates the destination asks for, and an invoice that describes the goods the way the receiving customs will want them described. A shipment refused at the far end is a shipment you pay to bring home.
Packing matters more going out than coming in, because nobody at the destination knows what was in the box. We crate, mark and photograph before the container is sealed.
We will also say plainly when an export is not worth doing. Sending a repairable item back under warranty can cost more than the item, and that is a sum worth doing before the crate is built.
