Every order we send to an island is taken to the harbour by us, loaded to the scheduled cargo boat for your route, and confirmed to you with a loading note and a photograph.
You do not need anybody in Male. That is the point of it. A shopkeeper four hours away should not have to ring a relative to ask whether the load went.
We know the sailing day for the routes we serve most, and the cut off is normally the afternoon before. Orders confirmed by Tuesday morning make the Wednesday boats. Anything after that goes on the following sailing and we will say so at the time rather than letting you find out.
Freight is charged by the boat, not by us, and we pass it on at cost with the receipt. Heavy goods on the bottom, plastics on top, chemicals crated separately, and everything marked with your shop name on two sides.
