Vanity units, mirror cabinets, shelving and enclosures for bathrooms, built in marine plywood and nothing else.
From 2,400 rufiyaa a running foot with a laminate finish and from 3,400 sprayed. Stone or solid surface tops are quoted separately.
We will not make a bathroom unit in MDF at any price, and we will not use commercial plywood either. MDF swells irreversibly the first time water sits on an edge, and a swollen edge cannot be repaired, only replaced. Commercial ply delaminates quietly from the bottom up and fails in about two years in a Malé bathroom. Marine ply, with a boil proof glue and no voids, lasts as long as the bathroom.
Two details that decide the life of a vanity. The plumbing cut outs are made in the workshop before the finish goes on, so the raw edges get sealed rather than being cut on site and left open. And the unit is held off the floor on legs or a plinth set back, because a carcass sitting flat on a floor that is mopped is a carcass wicking water up its base.
Four weeks, and we will come and look at where the pipes are before quoting.
