Fitted wardrobes, walk in storage, under stair cupboards and built in shelving.
From 1,450 rufiyaa a running foot for a melamine carcass with melamine doors, 2,200 with laminate faced MDF doors, and 3,100 with sprayed doors. Sliding doors add about 600 a foot because the gear is the expensive part and the cheap gear is not worth having.
Three weeks: a week to measure and cut, a week to build, three days to finish and a day to fit. A wardrobe is the job most often promised in a week by somebody and it cannot honestly be done in one unless it is a box screwed to a wall.
The practical constraint people do not expect is access. A two point four metre tall wardrobe will not turn on the landing of a Malé stairwell, and a full height door panel often will not either. So our wardrobes are built as carcasses in two or three sections with the joins hidden inside, assembled in the room, and scribed to the wall and the ceiling once they are there.
Inside, ask for what you actually own. The default arrangement of one hanging rail and one shelf suits almost nobody, and changing the internal layout costs very little at the drawing stage and cannot be done afterwards.
