Dining tables, beds, benches, desks, prayer shelves and the piece that does not exist in any shop.
Quoted per piece. A solid hardwood dining table for six is from 9,500 rufiyaa and a bed frame in solid timber from 6,800. In board with a laminate or sprayed finish, roughly half that.
The conversation worth having is solid timber against board, and it is not about quality. Board is flatter, more stable and cheaper, and for anything with a large flat surface in a humid climate it is usually the more sensible material. Solid timber moves with the seasons, which is why a solid table top has to be fixed in a way that lets it move, and if it is screwed down flat it will crack. It also takes a repair, which board never does: a solid top can be sanded and refinished in twenty years and a laminate one cannot.
We will draw the piece before making it, with the real dimensions on it, because a table that is three inches longer than the room allows is a conversation nobody wants to have on the day of delivery.
Four to six weeks for a solid timber piece, mostly because the timber has to be machined, left, and machined again once it has moved.
