Staff uniforms for a shop of forty

Forty fitted blouses and shirts in a fabric chosen for a shop with the door open all day.

Forty staff, a uniform that had to look the same on everybody, and a shop floor that sits at about thirty one degrees because the door is open to the street all day.

The fabric decided this job. The owner had chosen a heavy poplin that looked excellent on the roll and would have been unbearable by eleven in the morning. We made one garment in it and one in a lighter cotton blend, put both on the same staff member on the same afternoon, and let the shop decide. They chose the lighter one and the whole order was better for it.

Measured on site over two evenings after closing, five sizes plus six individual garments, with the logo embroidered by a workshop on the same street at 45 rufiyaa a garment shown as its own line on the quotation.

Three weeks from the approved sample. The shop has reordered twice for new staff, both times off the cards, both times without anybody coming in.
