One of our longest standing customers has never been in the shop. She lives in Melbourne and her mother lives four streets from us.
The order is nearly the same every week and it is placed on a Wednesday her time. She pays by transfer like everybody else, which she does from there without trouble, and the delivery goes into the six o'clock Thursday window. The note on the order usually says something for us to pass on.
The thing that makes it work is the phone number. Her mother does not use this site and does not need to. She gets a call ten minutes before the van arrives, which is exactly what she wanted and nothing more.
We now have eleven customers doing some version of this.
