You pick a two hour slot. Each one holds a fixed number of orders, and when it is full it disappears from the list rather than being quietly overfilled.
We carry it up
Most buildings here have no lift and a sack of rice weighs what it weighs. It goes to your door, not to the street outside it.
Paid by transfer, after you order
Place the order, get a reference, transfer the amount and quote it. Nothing leaves the shop until the transfer shows. There is no card payment on this site.
We ring before we substitute
If the tomatoes are finished you get a phone call, not a bag of something else you did not ask for.

What people say after a few months
The rice goes to my door. Every other shop I have used leaves it at the bottom of the stairs and tells me the boy has another delivery. That is the whole reason I order here.
One invoice at the end of the month with GST on it, and a reference for every delivery. Before this I was collecting paper receipts out of a kitchen drawer.
I place the order on a Wednesday from Australia and my mother gets a phone call before the van arrives. She has never had to touch a website and she never will.
What people ask first
How late can I order for the same evening?
Two in the afternoon is the honest answer for a same evening window. Anything after that usually goes to the next day, although the last windows sometimes still have room.
The site will only show you windows that still have space, so if you can select it you can have it.
What happens if something I ordered has run out?
We ring you before the van leaves. You can take the nearest thing we have, or take it off the order.
We never substitute without asking. A bag of the wrong rice is not a favour.
Is there an account to create?
No. There is no login on this site and no order history to sign into. You fill a basket, place the order, and you get a reference.
Keep the reference. It is how you look the order up again, and it is what you quote on the transfer.
