A building of eighteen flats, four floors, no lift, and a street where a van can stand for about ten minutes before somebody has an opinion about it.
Seven of the households were already ordering from us on different evenings. We asked whether they would all take the same Thursday window, and six of them did. Now one load comes off the van, the boy goes up four times instead of seven, and everybody in that building gets their shopping between six and eight.
What made it work was not a discount. It was that the last flat on the fourth floor stopped getting their delivery at twenty to ten.
We have since done the same thing in two other buildings. If your neighbours order from us, ask them which window they take.
